The Santa Monica Main Street Community Garden was established in 1976 and is an iconic and a beloved landmark in Santa Monica. Thousands of residents, young and old, have cultivated and worked in this community garden over nearly 50 years, growing organic food and supporting sustainability through regenerative organic urban agriculture. Covering almost one city block, the Community Garden is comprised of 76 individual garden plots tended by Santa Monica residents.
