The Manzanita Street Community Garden was founded in 2004 by Peter Bedard and several other members of the surrounding community, with the assistance of the Los Angeles Community Garden Council and former Councilman Eric Garcetti. There are 13 plots in the garden that are maintained by members of the Manzanita St Community Garden. The garden is organic and it as main purpose is to provide the gardeners and neighborhood community with food to eat.
