An oasis in the heart of Frogtown, the Elysian Valley Community Garden is a place where families grow fresh healthy food while connecting with nature and one another. Our hope is to provide a safe, cooperative, and educational environment for our gardeners and other community members.

The garden was founded in 2011 with help from the LA Community Garden Council and the passion and talents of a dedicated group of local volunteers. We have 33 family beds, plus community growing areas, numerous fruit trees and a thriving beehive. We have been a proud hub for LA Compost since 2016, closing the loop on production, consumption and waste and creating site-made soil for our gardeners. LA Compost hosts a weekly curbside food waste drop-off at the garden on Sundays from 10a-2p.
