The Saturday conference, which will run 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at FarmLab on N. Spring St. in downtown LA, will provide a series of workshops, discussion panels, networking opportunities and a resource fair for community gardeners throughout Los Angeles. Scheduled topics include beekeeping, vegetable gardening, composting and native plants, led by LA Common Ground (the LA County Master Gardeners) and other garden experts. Three workshops will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Mirabelle, Square 1, and Larchmont Grill, prestigious Hollywood restaurants that grow organic food at community gardens, will serve lunch to conference attendees. communities nationwide. Sponsors of Gathering of the Gardens 2009 include the Los Angeles Conservation Corps, Mondavi Wineries and FarmLab.

While this event is presented free of charge, a minimal donation of $10 per day is requested to cover our expenses and further our cause. Please help our gardens grow with a generous, tax-deductible donation.
